Proton emission study as a guide to astrophysical rp process

چکیده
Proton emitters play an important role in deciding the path of astrophysical rapid proton capture (rp) process. The lifetime these nuclei depends on several factors, like deformation, angular momentum emitted proton, residual interaction between valence and neutron (especially case odd-odd nuclei) so on. Therefore, it is worth to investigate structure understand rp process path. However, due lack data this exotic region, theoretical models should be robust dependence free parameters minimal. In direction, we have developed first microscopic approach study triaxially deformed emitters. application 108 I, a recently observed emitter end cycle process, discussed.

The importance of nuclear masses in the astrophysical rp-process
The importance of mass measurements for astrophysical capture processes in general, and for the rp-process in X-ray bursts in particular is discussed. A review of the current uncertainties in the effective lifetimes of the major waiting points 64Ge, 68Se, and 72Kr demonstrates that despite of recent measurements uncertainties are still significant. It is found that mass measurements with an acc...

متن کاملDetermination of Incisal Point as Anterior Guide to Transfer Maxillary Casts to Articulator: A Pilot Study
Objectives Despite the importance to use face-bow record for transferring maxillary cast to articulator some dentists use average points to avoid the time taken and ease of use. The location of incisal point could help to set the maxillary cast or denture in an appropriate position in mounting stage. This study was designed to determine the incisal point location in ante...
متن کاملProton capture reaction rates in the rp process.
Detailed shell-model calculations have been performed to study the structure of excited states in neutron deficient T=l, T=3/2, and T=2 nuclei in the mass range A = 23—43. Excitation energies, single-particle spectroscopic factors, as well as p-transition strengths were computed. On the basis of these results new reaction rates were calculated for proton capture on the T=l/2 nucleus Ar, on the ...
